Spurs vs. Mavericks

Tonight the Spurs are taking on the Nowitzki-less Mavericks and the way the Spurs are playing most people are penciling this in as a blowout. I just wanted to type a simple reminder that it’s sometimes more difficult to scout a team and gameplan against them without their main stars. A team without their go-to-guy is unpredictable, for instance a team without Dirk means more shots for Terry, Butler, Marion and Barea. The Mavs will also likely push the ball more in transition in attempts to get easy points. A little bit more erratic and unpredictable. I still expect for the Spurs to win by more than 7 points tonight, but don’t expect it to be easy.
