Ferris Wheel

Though it feels like yesterday my world is a blur,
Months have passed and yet I feel the change.
How can we treat sacrifice like a morning paper?
And live our lives in circles, without relevance.

It seems that I’m not the same,
My focus has changed but why don’t they see?
Can anyone see?
We are tunneled in entertainment and forget reality.

At night I hear the names, and see the faces.
Of those who are so famous.
But for once can I see the backbone of this country?
Forget the glamour and the greed, show me loyalty.
